Book Review: On Killing: The Psychological Cost of Learning to Kill in War and Society
On Killing hearkened me back to a book I haven't read since I was in junior high school. Years have given me more perspective on Crane's novel, The Red Badge of Courage, but even back then I felt more than a touch of the significance imported by that seminal text.
